Accessibility in Metriweave
Listen to chart values, make text larger and adjust the visual experience. Metriweave works with supported accessibility settings on your Apple devices.
Spoken information
Supported charts expose summaries, dates and recorded values. Common metric charts offer named actions such as Next reading, Previous reading and Clear selected value.
This provides an alternative to locating a small point by touch. Available actions vary by chart; use the actions VoiceOver offers for the focused element.
Dynamic Type
Metriweave supports your device’s text-size preferences and adjusts key layouts for larger accessibility sizes.
Dashboard values, units and change labels can stack vertically. Wider dashboard and Trends layouts can move to one column to give content more room.
Free and Pro
Enhanced chart contrast makes chart strokes, comparison marks, labels, gridlines and inspection callouts more distinct.
Find it in Metriweave → Settings → Accessibility. The system Increase Contrast setting also activates stronger styling in supported charts.
System preference
When Reduce Motion is enabled, Metriweave reduces supported interface animations and animated value transitions.
This includes dashboard effects, chart and detail transitions, and value transitions on Apple Watch. It does not mean every change is completely motion-free.
Clarity
Reduce Transparency removes decorative gradients from shared page backgrounds. Increased contrast strengthens standard card boundaries, and supported cards reduce decorative effects.
These adjustments help separate content from its background without requiring a different set of health measurements.
Additional visual cues
Supported charts use labels, shapes and different mark styles to help distinguish information without relying only on color.
Differentiate Without Color adds cues to calendar-style cells. Comparison charts can distinguish series with different line, point or bar styles. The exact cues depend on the view.
Widgets and Apple Watch
Widget and Watch metric labels bring together the measurement, value, unit and trend for VoiceOver. Supported complications also identify stale information.
Normal feature limits apply: Free includes the small Home Screen widget; additional widgets and the Apple Watch experience require Pro.
Display preferences
With System appearance selected, Metriweave follows your device’s light or dark appearance. System appearance is available in Free and Pro.
Pro also offers Light, Dark and OLED Black overrides inside the app. Enhanced chart contrast is available without Pro.
This setting is included in Free and Pro.
On iPhone or iPad, open Settings → Accessibility → Display & Text Size. You can find Larger Text, Increase Contrast, Reduce Transparency and Differentiate Without Color there. Names and placement may vary by operating-system version.
Return to Metriweave after changing a setting. Supported layouts and chart styles respond to those system preferences. Apple’s guide to display and text-size preferences explains the available system controls.
Enable VoiceOver in your device’s Accessibility settings, then open a metric detail screen in Metriweave.
Focus a supported chart and listen to its summary. Use the available VoiceOver actions to explore readings. Common metric charts provide Next reading and Previous reading; other charts may offer adjustable-value actions instead.
The interaction is not identical across every chart type. Tell us the screen and chart if a value cannot be reached or its description is unclear.
On iPhone or iPad, open Settings → Accessibility → Motion → Reduce Motion. Metriweave uses that preference to reduce supported animations and transitions. See Apple’s Reduce Motion guide for the system setting.
Apple Watch has its own accessibility preferences. Adjust them on the Watch or through its companion settings as appropriate for your device.
These descriptions cover accessibility features in Metriweave 2.4.1 (47). Support varies by chart, device and system version. We are not claiming that every screen or assistive-technology combination has been independently tested, or that the app or this website has accessibility certification.
If something does not work for you, please report it. Include your device, operating-system version, app version and the assistive technology or display setting involved. In the app, use Settings → Support → Contact Support and include a reply email if you would like a response.
If a control is hard to reach, a label is unclear or a layout is difficult to read, tell us the screen and the accessibility settings you use. You do not need to share your Health history.
